DIY Kool-Aid Lip Gloss!

Here's a great DIY project for the summer! It's Kool-Aid Lip Gloss! Here's how you make it....

Materials Needed:

Kool-Aid packets
Vaseline
Container for lip gloss storage – use a small empty spice container, or any small jar will work.
Craft supplies – optional

Directions:

Put a cup of Vaseline into a small microwavable bowl.
Heat until it is easy to stir, about 30 seconds. Be careful not to let it turn into liquid. (The Vaseline in the very bottom may liquefy, but the key is to just get it warm enough to stir.)
Sprinkle Kool-Aid into Vaseline and stir.
Transfer to container and enjoy!

Fruit Popsicles!!

Doesn't this look delicious for a HOT day like today!?!

Here's how you make them.....

Ingredients:
3 cups watermelon puree (seedless if possible)
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup chopped fresh strawberries
1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
1 peach or nectarine, diced small
handful fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

Cut the watermelon into chunks and then puree it in a blender until smooth. Set aside.

Set out about 1 dozen popsicle molds (amount needed will vary depending on size of molds). Fill each one with the chopped fresh fruit. Then pour in the watermelon puree until each mold is full to the top. Place a popsicle stick into each one. Place into your freezer and freeze for about 6 to 8 hours.

When ready to serve, run the popsicle molds under warm water for a few seconds and then pull each one out.

Yep! That's Reese Witherspoon's mugshot! And her husband's right next to it!

And here we all thought she was such a nice girl!!! Word is that Reese is deeply embarrassed about her arrest Friday night. The story is, Police pulled over a car that she was in with her husband. He was driving, apparently on the wrong side of the road. Even though he says he only had one drink, he blew over the limit and was charged with DUI. Reese was charged with disorderly conduct for trying to stop the arrest of her husband. Reese has since apologized for her behaviour. Here's her statement...

"Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."

I absolutely LOVE Cadbury Creme Eggs! Apparently you can bake them right into a cupcake! The secret is to freeze them. Then you just set them into the batter and let the cupcake bake around it. I definetly want to try these this weekend!

I love this video by SoulPancake!! Kids seem to have such an easy time making instant friends. SoulPancake set up a Box of Balls on a street corner and challenged adults who were strangers to have a seat and maybe make a new friend! Amazing to see what happens! If only we all took the time!

Phone Call For Captain James T. Kirk!

Yes, I can be a sci-fi geek! I think this is really cool. Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will actually phone William Shatner, a.k.a Star Trek's Captain James T. Kirk this morning. The cool part? He'll phone him from Space! Hadfield is on a five-month mission aboard the International Space Station right now. This phone call was arranged after the two men had a brief exchange on Twitter last month. Sci-Fi fans went crazy, prompting the Canadian Space Agency to set up the phone call. We'll get to watch it too. It'll be broadcast on the Canadian Space Agency's website starting at 10:30 this morning. You can watch it here....
