I was disappointed to see that an athlete has been kicked off the Greek Olympic team because of a twitter comment aimed at South Africans, and the West Nile Virus and some reports have also linked it to who she supports politically on home soil. 

Greece says the tweet was racist and against what the Olympics stands for but she made a young, tasteless racial joke that was not intended to hurt anyone. 

The Greek athlete, Voula Papachristou, has issued an apology, adding she never meant to disgrace the games or athletes or anyone. 

If someone makes a mistake are we not taught about forgiveness? I know examples get made out of people for the littlest things some times and I think it's blowing the "tweet" out of proportion to actually ban her from the Games!
